Peace Builder: Architecture for Peace
From November 24, 2025 to January 26, 2026, the exhibition Peace Builder: Architecture for Peace will be open to the public at Ceramica Sant'Agostino's "Milano Living Surfaces" space, curated by Simona Finessi, Director of PLATFORM architecture and design, with creative direction by Angelo Dadda.
Ten hand-drawn designs by as many designers, using different techniques and colors, are united by a single idea: that architecture can be much more than a backdrop - it can be a quiet yet powerful engine of social transformation.
With the exhibition Peace Builder: Architecture for Peace, Ceramica Sant'Agostino and PLATFORM architecture and design invited architects and designers to reflect on how the built environment can concretely contribute to building a culture of peace. In a world marked by conflicts, inequalities, and fractures - both visible and invisible - architecture has the power to stitch together, soothe, and connect. This is not only about grand iconic gestures, but also - and perhaps above all - about small interventions capable of activating relationships, welcoming differences, and generating a sense of belonging.
This exhibition thus brings together a series of hand-drawn designs that interpret the theme of "peacebuilding" through architecture. Drawing thus becomes not only a means of expression, but also a manifesto of an ethical and civic intent.
The eleven authors, belonging to some of the most important architecture firms on the Italian scene, are:

The works will remain on free public view at the Showroom at Corso Garibaldi 95 in Milan until January 26, 2026, at which point the drawings will be auctioned off, with all proceeds donated to the Fondazione Città della Speranza. Città della Speranza, founded in 1994 through the vision of Franco Masello, not only funds projects reviewed by a Scientific Committee but has also created the Città della Speranza Pediatric Research Institute, an internationally renowned center of excellence for advanced pediatric cancer diagnostics, home to over 220 researchers and dozens of research groups.
Ceramica Sant'Agostino, which has supported the Foundation for years, will donate the entire proceeds of the auction to Città della Speranza, so that "Peace Builder" does not remain just a title.
